Turkmenistan

This anthem was previously used when Turkmenistan was a republic of the Soviet Union, like all other anthems of Soviet republics, the lyrics were altered slightly in 1978 to the ones presented here upon the passing of Stalin (who was mentioned in the anthems). For several years after independence, this anthem was kept as the official anthem of the new nation, until a new one was created in 1997.
