Like other republics of the Soviet Union at the time, Tajikistan (known as the Tajik Soviet Socialist Republic at this time) had its own anthem, which was in use until shortly after the disintegration of the Soviet Union. It was composed in 1945, but not adopted until a year later. The lyrics were slightly altered in 1977 to remove mentions of Stalin (the post 1977 lyrics are shown here).

Unlike most former Soviet republics, the melody was retained for the anthem of Tajikistan after independence in 1991, as well as the lyrics for a short time until new ones were written three years after independence.
