Kazakhstan (1945-1992)

Like other republics of the Soviet Union at the time, Kazakhstan (then known as the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic) had its own anthem, which was in use until shortly after independence from the Soviet Union. Unlike most former republics (but common among former Soviet republics in Central Asia), the melody of the anthem of the SSR was retained for the newly independent state’s national anthem.

Special thanks to: Pavel Zinovatny for the sheet music.
