"Dideba zetsit kurthelus" (Praise Be To The Heavenly
Bestower of Blessings)

In use: 1918, 1920, 1991-2004
The anthem of this republic in the Caucusus mountains was first adopted during its brief period of independence in 1918-1920, when it became part of the Soviet Union. Upon gaining independence from the Soviet Union again in 1991, the anthem was readopted. Reportedly, the lyrics were not in use during the post-Soviet era. The anthem was replaced a few months after a popular revolution against the government in early 2004, however the ousted government had reportedly looked into changing the anthem to the new one before it was ousted.
