Falkland Islands
"Song of the Falklands"
Words by: Christopher Lanham
Music by: Christopher Lanham
Adopted: unknown
"Song of the Falklands" was written in the 1930's by Christopher Lanham, a schoolteacher from Hampshire in the United Kingdom working on West Falkland. "Song of the Falklands" has since become something of an unofficial anthem.
The Falkland Islands is also claimed by Argentina and, as a claimed province of Argentina, the Argentine government has granted it an anthem entitled "Marcha de las Malvinas" (Falkland Islands March).
Special thanks to: Peter Breiner, who has provided me with the MIDI. Please note that while the anthem itself is public domain, this arrangement is © Peter Breiner and Naxos. Used with permission.
